Mozaik Labs launches Tune — the source-available audio server that rivals Roon

The problem: a locked-down market
If you're an audiophile, you've probably heard of Roon. It's one of the few audio servers capable of orchestrating Tidal, Qobuz, your local library, and several listening zones in a single piece of software. The catch: $830 lifetime or $150/year, proprietary code, and a future that depends entirely on the vendor's decisions.
For many, that's too steep an entry ticket. For others, it's too much dependency on a single supplier.
Our approach: source-available, modular, agnostic
Tune is a multi-room audio server we've been building for 18 months at Mozaik Labs. Three principles guide the project:
- Source-available (BSL 1.1) — the code is public, auditable, modifiable. No black box.
- Multi-services — your existing subscriptions are interchangeable connectors.
- Multi-zones — one Tune instance drives all your listening points (DLNA, AirPlay, USB, HDMI).
No proprietary hardware to buy. Tune runs on a Mac mini, NUC, Raspberry Pi 4, or any Linux/macOS/Windows box.

What works today
- Streaming: Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer (plus Spotify catalog browsing)
- Local library: FLAC, ALAC, DSD, automatic scans
- Outputs: DLNA, AirPlay 1, USB direct, HDMI
- Clients: iPad/iPhone (native SwiftUI), Android (Flutter), responsive web browser
- Multi-room: synchronized zones with independent volumes
- Universal search: a single field to query all your sources

PlaylistsHub: the cross-service playlist orchestrator
One of the most-requested features by our community is coming: a manager that transfers your playlists between Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify and Deezer in a few clicks. No more depending on a third-party service.

Multi-zones: one Tune, several rooms
Drive your living room, kitchen and bedroom simultaneously from the same app. Each zone keeps its own volume, content, and output device.

What we're working on
- Apple Music (MusicKit integration done, in testing)
- Amazon Music (waiting for the API to officially open)
- YouTube Music
- Cross-service playlist manager (Tidal ↔ Spotify ↔ Qobuz transfers)
Private beta — how to join
The beta program is invite-only. Criteria:
